We welcome all Cubs to participate in the Winter Cub Challenge at the Ferguson Forest Centre (see links to the right of the page) on Saturday, January 24. We’ll be
- snowshoeing and hiking
- making a pine cone bird feeder
- learning more about Winter Cubbing
- doing lots of other fun activities
Lunch will be provided. Cubs must bring their own mug for hot chocolate.
The cost has been fixed at $10/Cub for the actual event (toilet rental, crest, stove fuel, and the food each Pack supplies). Lunch will be hotdogs and soup cooked and eaten communally.
The drop-off/pickup point is at the Ferguson Forest Center main parking lot off County Road 44 (immediately north of the North Grenville Municipal Centre). The entrance is clearly marked as “Ferguson Forest Center.” The drop-off time is 9:30 AM and pickup time is 3:00 PM.
This event will be cancelled if the temperature is below –23oC. We’ll contact you if we need to cancel.
